Yes, Magnolia 1 has the best sites. You can request a pull through. Also, only Mag 1 has full hookup.
Yes, I think about 38...
Rare in the warmer months. More likely in winter.
There is a very good chance you will I seen two of them about three weeks ago when I was there
Yes. On leash
Not sure on AT&T. I have Verizon. I didn't have any problems
There is WiFi at the refreshment area
Open with restrictions
You can't fish in the springs, but once you get out to the river, you'll catch, catfish, mullet, blue gills, and bass
Yes..you have option for both primitive or with water and electric
Had a great time at Manatee springs. Canoeing down the swannee river with great also. Can't wait to go back.
Fantastic place to visit. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Swimming area is nice and never overly crowded. They have a food stand that sells BBQ and even beer and wine. Lots of trails to walk on.
Peaceful. Water always 72. Refreshing on a hot day. Watch for ticks, we each had several on us.
The park is nice but the poor springs are so nutrient loaded :(
Love this state park for its diverse activities. It is fairly remote and doesn’t have phone service ( I love this!!!). We kayak, bike, watch the stars in the very dark sky (lots of trees though), hike, and especially enjoy the wildlife. Every trip we see deer, armadillo, turtles, alligators, vultures (dozens in trees by opening to the river), and occasionally manatee. Campground is clean. Be wary of large groups camping there as they can get loud. Park is well maintained and worth the trip. They have a concession provide that sells food, beer/wine, snacks, camping essentials, as well as renting kayaks and canoes. We’ve used their shuttle service every time we camp there (2x a year) Peaceful place, but if you visit, please help to keep it that way!
We spent a week at Manatee Springs state park at site 21. This site was a full hook up be we could not use the sewer connection because it was located near the front of the campsite and was way to high to be able to dump out tanks. Most sewer hook ups at the camp campground were really too high to properly dump your tanks. We did enjoy walking around the area and visiting cedar key. There is marginal no no cell service at this campground (Verizon). The wild life was abundant and fun to look at. It only cost us $115.00 for a 5 night stay, you cant beat that price. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. If we come back again it will be only for a night or two if we are traveling thru the area.
I’ve been coming here since years and this spring is by far the best one I’ve ever been to it’s great for kayaking and diving. Great place to swim and watch wildlife. I’m definitely coming back and recommend coming to manatee springs.
Camping was awesome spring head is awesome deep bring snorkel and mask loads of free roam deer restrooms good consession outstanding best BBQ boardwalks were closed due to covid but rented kayak for 2 hrs and that was cool went out to swuannee river ...real Florida divers cave trails for walking and biking camping showers were awesome with great hot water and cleaner than any camp ground ever !!! Great job manatee springs love love love it here cant wait to go back !!! Not sure what took us so long but this place is a gem !!! ❤⛺🏕😁😍 🦊🐿🐾🦉🌛🌠❤
The springs were beautiful and it was surprisingly not crowded. The weather wasn't ideal, so that may have had something to do with it, but it was still so clear even with cloudy skies. They had great facilities, inexpensive kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals, food, etc.
Lived in Florida for 28 years now and have NEVER been to any of the many natural springs. This is a first and how beautiful, not to mention the wildlife (deer)
It was amazing and the water feels super cold but after 1 min your body adjusts. It was alot of fun. We went camping at the RV portion.so we could get one outlets so we could bring a window AC unit. It was the best idea. Other then that there was a blonde manager or employee that was horrible she came by every morning to tell us we were doing something wrong. We can tie rope to the trees or we can bring a curtain floatie or it was always something she complained about. Other then her it would have been perfect place
I went there too ride along with my girlfriend Jude. We picked up camping gear that her grandsons paternal grandfather left there. He got sick left it there and went home. 3 days later he was in the hospital on a respirator with the virus. Her whole family is on quarantine. So far the paternal grandfather's family is the only ones that have tested positive for this virus
My experience was jaded by heavy rains. I believe the campground is well maintained. Please note drainage can be an issue. Standing water may develop on lower camp site areas with heavy rains. It drain off quickly after the rain stops. Swimming in the springs was fun when the rain stopped.
Very clean, clear water with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The camping was amazing. The site was spacious and clean with grills and picnic tables. You may see deers!
Had an amazing time. The water was do cold but an amazing experience for the kids.
We rented a tent campsite for 5 nights. We had such a fantastic time here. What fantastic facilities. Bathrooms nice and clean and modern. Campsites large with hookups. The spring is beautiful. We saw manatees and otters. Lots of wildlife. Rented a super cheap kayak and had a great time on the river. Also went hiking on all the trails. So much to do and the staff were super friendly and helpful! We can't wait to come and camp here again.
Excellent campground, clean bathrooms and beautiful scenery. The deer just walk up to your site is quite breathtaking.
Lots of fun.... nice folks Daria was great at the adventures store...
They can't control the weather but the site flowed water from the 3 days of rain. The rest of the park was awesome.Deer everywhere, don't feed them! We're going back soon to actually get to swim in the spring. If you want TV or cell coverage, don't go.WIFI at the concession stand if you have to have it.
Beautiful spring and was very grateful to hear they are abiding by a lower capacity and covid standards. Friendly staff, spread out, & amazing water to cool down in. No boardwalks or trails this time but I enjoyed my visit nonetheless!
Wonderful time in the park. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Super clean!!
Great camping! The deer visit your campsite and are breathtaking to watch.
Had a great afternoon. Amazing amount of wildlife. Saw deer, a green heron, kingfisher, river otter, manatees, turtles, fish and more squirrels than you can count. The springs are clear and beautiful. The boardwalk gives you great access to the spring and the river. Easy walk.
This space was very nice. We plan to come back. Able to float a little. Could see the water boiling up at the top across from the steps.
This is a beautiful state park. Our RV site was in the Hickory Loop with water and electric only. The bath house was close and adequate...although I wish all parks would install doors that lock for showers instead of just curtains. Our site was large, wooded, and in a natural setting (on dirt). A picnic table and fire ring was available. We were visited by deer, squirrels, and raccoons. The spring was beautiful and we did see Manatees. We did not have cell service and there was no wifi. But if you walked to the store next to the spring, you could use their wifi while in that area. Some great walking and biking trails and kayaks were allowed in the spring out to the river. Lots of ticks.....so be prepared!Overall a great get-away park for short term!
Amazing place to camp. It has good amenities and beautiful sites.
Beautiful spring and park. Plan to camp here in February!
What a gem! So glad this hasn't been paved over yet. Staff was incredibly friendly, facility was great and we got to see a whole pile of manatees, a gator, cat fish, birds and other animals all from the boardwalk. Definitely worth the stop!
Very beautiful smaller spring but a good place the relax and enjoy nature and a good swim.
Nice park, quiet, friendly people, great swimming, kayaking, & bike riding. The town was the same way very nice people. Flea market down the rd was neat. We had a great time & will be back with the family.
Campground was nice but I didnt know the trail was closed as well as the park due to covid, keep this in mind because I didnt know this when I booked for a week. Went to the springs first and second day. No signal when you enter the park just in case you wanted to hook up some TV wirelessly. I have Verizon but my gf has sprint and neither of us could connect. We left the third night, nothing to do unless you're okay just hanging by your tent or rv at night. Our trip was three hours away but overall this has been a big let down. I'll just stick to blue spring or Kelly park or wekiva.
Great place to go outside and enjoy your day with friends and family, awesome place for good pictures.
Great camping spot! Beautiful spring for swimming as well as canoeing. Loved the way the animals weren't afraid to come right up to the campsites yet did not steal food! Wonderful experience, I will be back time and time again!
not much diving but if you start at the spring you can drift down then get out, walk back up, and do it again. we saw hogchokers and a fairly large turtle
A place a natural beauty filled with sights that are so refreshing. We enjoyed our walk through the swamp to the river along the boardwalk. The springs are gorgeous and a place where we are renewed and invigorated. Highly recommended.
One of the best springs to go to. Also the camp ground is great and very clean.
Nice place to camp. Only downsize is the camping bathroom. It only has two showers. Also if you want to see deers up close this is the place. Animals are not afraid of humans. Beautiful spring.
Water quality is not what it was 30 years ago. Park facilities are very good. Walkways are nicely laid out. Rangers seemed friendly. The reason for the 3 stars is mostly due to the green and brown algae covering everything in the spring run and the grasses that lined the spring run are all gone. The State really needs to up their game in resource management for this spring-shed. These were some of the finest springs in the world and now they seem like a pale reflection of their former glory.
It has It all. A great place to take the family.
I had a great time! A great campground with bathrooms and showers in each area. I also loved the fresh spring water to swim in. I felt super safe and enjoyed all the wildlife surrounding me. Definitely will visit again!!
Nice spot great confession stand with awesome bbq. Be careful their are a lot of ticks
Very nice park... The only problem is ticks!!! Stay out of woodsy areas and all is well...The spring is beautiful.
This park is nothing short of impressive! Five minute walk to Springs and Suwannee River from any campsite. Easy biking trails. Clean bathhouses and well maintained shaded private sites everywhere. Thankful for staff going above and beyond! Shout out to Steve and Shirley! Of course, the deer roaming through the campground add to the “nature up close” ambience. Manatees and the abundance of birds and ducks were beyond expectations. We did spot a gator on the canoe trip! Thankful for Charlie and Kerrie at Anderson’s Outdoor Adventures - best Manatee Spring Hot Dog!
Quiet, peaceful park with many nature trails. The springs are beautiful, and there is a boardwalk path that follows the springs out to the Suwanee river (no dogs allowed on the boardwalk). We took turns walking it and it's well worth it! Lots of wildlife, and who knew Cyprus tree stumps could be so beautiful!!
Great place only downside very little social distancing at springs.
Grew up camping , swimming and fishing here. This is an awesome place to explore the trails and see manatees. There are kayak and canoe rentals available and a convenient concession stand as well. Will definitely recommend u bring ur family and friends to have a great experience as well.
Great swimming spot. Also the couple who keep the place clean are just wonderfully nice caring folks. And it shows.
Beautiful park! The grounds are really nice to walk around and explore. The kids loved the playground. My favorite was probably the board walk over the water. Not the clearest water I've seen in a springs but still beautiful.
Awesome lots of shade for sitting good size spring place to eat lunch or you can buy a meal clean
Beautiful camp ground. Lots of wildlife. Plenty to see. The bathrooms are very clean and all facilities are well maintained. We'll definitely come back.
